Peru is culture, archeology, history, geography, nature, adventure. The ruins of Machu Picchu are one of the most enigmatic and beautiful sites in the world. Invisible from below and completely self-contained, Machu Picchu was rediscovered in 1911 by Yale archeologist Hiram Bingham. Its primary functions were: astronomical observatory and sanctuary for the training of priestesses and / or brides for the nobility, among others. With enough agricultural terraces to feed its population and watered by natural springs, Machu Picchu seemed to have been used by the Inca as a secret ceremonial city. Accommodation at Panamericano hotel or similar in Buenos Aires (Included in the Antarctica program)
Day 1
BUENOS AIRES / LIMA
Breakfast

C&O Post - Program starts...

Transfer from the hotel to Buenos Aires airport (AM)

Flight to Lima (LIM)

Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel

PM: City Tour of colonial Lima (San Francisco Church, Modern Lima, archeological museum, among others)

Dinner at Rosa Nautica restaurant. Transfer is included

Accommodation at Sonesta Olivar or similar.
Day 2
LIMA / CUSCO
Breakfast

Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco

Flight to Cusco

Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel

Morning at leisure to get used to high altitude

PM: Sightseeing in Cusco ( Cathedral, Main Square, Koricancha temple and archeological sites such as: Sacssayhuaman, Tambomachay, Kenko and Pucacara)

Accommodation at Novotel hotel or similar.
Day 3
CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
Breakfast

Transfer to train station to start train journey along the Urubamba valley to Puentes Ruinas

Bus ride up to Machu Picchu

Guided Tour

PM: Transfer by bus to Aguas Calientes

Buffet lunch at typical restaurant in Aguas Calientes village

Train back to Cusco

Upon arrival transfer to Hotel

Accommodation at Novotel hotel or similar.
Day 4
CUSCO / LIMA
Breakfast

Transfer to airport to board your flight back to Lima

Assistance at Lima airport for your international flight connection

Flight to Buenos Aires (BUE)

Transfer from Buenos Aires airport to Panamericano hotel or similar

Accommodation at Panamericano or similar

5.- Between 14 and 7 days before: 95% price of cancelled Service
6.- Between 6 and 0 days before: 100% price of cancelled Service
